Las Vegas, NV, April 16, 2015
Yottio is proud to have been selected as a winner of the Best of SPROCKIT award at the media industry’s largest annual convention, NAB Show.
Yottio debuted their first real-time video community app that enables professional media producers to ask anyone to join their shows via real-time live streaming video and connects them with a production suite and coaching tools that helps video guests be seen and heard live on-air with at their best.
The first annual “Best of SPROCKIT” awards recognized five exceptional SPROCKIT companies for their outstanding products and solutions, as voted by NAB Show attendees.
During NAB Show, the 30 SPROCKIT startups presented their company’s solution in a five minute pitch session, followed by a brief Q&A open to all NAB Show attendees.
Attendees were encouraged to cast their vote for the most outstanding SPROCKIT company via an online and SMS voting platform powered by 2014 SPROCKIT startup, ExciteM.
The five startups with the higher number of votes were honored by Gordon Smith, CEO and President of NAB, at the SPROCKIT VIP Reception and Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, April 14.
Yottio was selected by SPROCKIT and NAB Show to participate in SPROCKIT’s 2015 program as an emerging company based on “their potential to disrupt the market and offer real solutions to challenges in today’s evolving market that many established media and entertainment companies face.”
Kicking off 2015, we’re happy to announce that Yottio’s Founder & Inventor, Gabriele “Bibop” Gresta is taking on two new roles within the Company.
First, Mr. Gresta has been elected Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Company, and we are looking forward to his continued leadership and guidance in all aspects of Yottio business.
Second, Mr. Gresta has been named “Senior Bibop Officer” for the Company. Now, what the hell does “Senior Bibop Officer” mean? It’s our way of clearing the decks for Gabriele’s infectious enthusiasm, evangelism, and out-of-the-box creative thinking. When we say “Bibop,” it’s not just using his infamous nickname, it’s our way of saying “get ready to think about things differently.”
As part of the role changes, current CEO Jon Lawrence will become CEO/President of Yottio, effective January 7th, 2015.
